Project Description
Introduction
Project Name: HS2 De-Vegetation / Fencing & Gate Installation
Customer Organisation: Fusion
Customer Details: Matthew Taylor, Project Manager Date: 11.09.2020 – ongoing
Location: Aylesbury – Milton Keynes Value: £2,500,000
Scope of Works
As part of the HS2’s programme for the construction of the new high speed railway, we commenced work on ground clearance, which included de-vegetation, arborist work, fencing and gate installation starting at Aylesbury at the beginning of September 2020 with a set programme of works for the next 2 years.
The clearing of vegetation is necessary to make way for the fencing and access. Once the de-vegetation commenced, boundary fencing is installed along the route. Gates are also being erected where needed to maintain all local public rights of way. The plan is to move forward from site to site.
Working mainly within dayshifts from approved access points and within the safeguarded possessions. Protection Controllers are also on duty throughout providing line blockages at short notice. All safety critical staff signed in and out at the dedicated points.
