GBR Solutions were engaged by our client J Murphy and Sons to deliver various works as part of a monitoring remit where the track was flooding regularly due to severe drainage faults. With the end client unable to properly identify what was causing the fault, GBR came in to assist in alleviating the flooding.

Scope of Works

• Installation of 500m of palisade fencing
• Additional works (e.g. fly tipping removal) identified at scoping stage for inclusion within the fencing remit
• De vegetation of embankments, fenceline and ditch drainage
• Consultation with key stakeholders/lineside neighbourhood to minimise visual impact and implementation disturbance
• Collaborative working with J Murphy and Sons as Principal Contractor to manage interfaces
• Installation of 100m of stock fencing
• Brick repair work on existing assets
• Jetting & CCTV of existing culvert
• Ditch drainage reprofiling
• Installation of new precast headwall

Outcomes

Working alongside our client we produced a robust methodology and programme of works to bring the project in on time, budget and with no incidents or accidents. We faced access issues with this being on a single track lane so traffic management, chapter 8 fencing and road closures all played a factor in delivery of these works. Following successful completion of these works we have been further contacted about 6 new remits of simlar scopes.
